all right. 41 right now in washington. no need to panic here. no need to run out and get toilet paper and milk. not going to be a major deal. it feels cold enough for winter weather. 37 in manassas and in culpeper. look the our storm system, starting to take shape. it will be intensifying throughout the day today. you can see the rain showers now reaching the ground here. pretty good storm surge and beach erosion. unfortunately, more problems from the lower eastern shore right up into new jersey and new york as the system lifts north. as the storm develops later this afternoon, some of the rain showers will be thrown back towards the washington area along with enough cold air in the upper atmosphere here up into pennsylvania that we could see the rain transition over to some snow here. and with temperatures only about 40 or so, it is possible that we could see some of of the area get covered in a light -- maybe the grassy areas get a light accumulation here. off to the north and east, that is where the best chances are for accumulating snow. not
